Have you ever visited thecozyclub.co.uk (no not the restaurant chain) I’m talking about a very unique craft club, run by the lovely Christine Myers in her beautiful home on the edge of London.
It's not just about crafting, but its also about the atmosphere, the emotions and quite simply the magic that fills the air.

I’ve been very fortunate to have been on two craft sessions so far and I'm definitely planning to pop down again before Christmas. The first craft session I went on, we decorated a candle box and on the second a mouse mercantile store, both visits were just amazing.

Here's my account of how the day unravels.
On entering, we are met with a very warm welcome by Chris and introduced to a lovely group of like minded souls, with tea in one hand and a delicious morsel in the other, we are shown the project that we will be making. A collective chorus of oohs and aahs fill the air.

With smiles on our faces, we sit down around a large table and in our places, are all the materials we need, beautifully presented, to create our projects. While we beaver away the room fills up with lots of chitter chatter, giggles, contented sighs and the odd squeal of delight from a mousling or two hiding in amongst many of the beautiful displays that are dotted around the house.

Lunchtime stops our play, we head of to Chris's kitchen, where we are met with a glorious site. The table is beautifully laid with cute displays, where mouselings mingle, waiting patiently to join in with our merriment. In our places are individually wrapped presents, with a sprinkle of glitter here and there. We open our packages, to delicious aromas wafting from the Aga. Our tummies rumble in anticipation for the scrumptious homemade food to be served.

Lunch time over, our tummies full, we visit the delightful mercantile store where, maybe just maybe
one or two purchases were made.

We return to our projects and very quickly the afternoon whizzes by and its time to say our goodbyes.

We venture on our homeward bound journeys, wearing the happiest of smiles, ( that last well into the weekend ) arms full of goodies with a dusting of magic, our hearts filled with joy and friendships firmly made. Bliss.

Till next time happy crafting.
xx

  3. Wow isn’t that the most delightful place to be. It’s like an adult version of visiting Santa’s grotto or some wonderful fairyland.
I love the escapism of being on workshops and spending the day with like minded folk.
So happy you enjoyed it all and thanks for taking us with you xxx

    1. Hi Lynn, if you ever get the chance of going, i thoroughly recommend it, you would love it. I agree about the escapism, when you go on a workshop, especially when you meet up with like minded people and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed.
      Thanks Lynn xx
